Another late winter/early spring ice storm here in Southern Illinois! This particular storm laid down an inch of literally sheer ice. It is really hard to describe this one as it was very unusual. It was not snow, it was not sleet and it was not hail! This time it came down and accumulated as tiny little BB's of ice, and they were very small. The result of this was that after accumulation it basically formed a solid inch of pure ice and it was very slippery! We'd been having several days of winter weather and my neighbor has been stranded in her house for several days now waiting out the late winter storms. In today's episode, she needed to get out of her driveway for some supplies since she has been stuck in the house for several days now. She asked me if I could help her to get out of her uphill country driveway and of course I abliged and wanted to help her out. So I fired up my Kioti RX7320 and put on the back blade and took the 1.5 mile 'ice journey' over to her farm to try to free her from her homebound situation just be cleaning up her long gravel driveway so that she could get out to the road with her car.
