Sri Justice G Chandraiah garu, Chairperson of Telangana State Human Rights Commission today supervised the Corona lockdown through a surprise inspection (traveling in their pilot vehicle)
Telangana State Human Rights Commission Chairperson Shri Justice G Chandraiah conducted a surprise inspection today as part of an effort to personally monitor the implementation of the corona lockdown imposed by the Telangana Government.
During the visit, his lordship has visited some places in Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda Commissionerates (ie - Jubilee Check Post, CM Camp Office, Tarnaka, Uppal Ring Road, Nagol, LB Nagar, Dilsukhnagar, Malakpet, Medina - Charminar, Mehdipatnam, etc.,).
Together with the police personnel (Law and Order, Traffic and Special Team) at the check posts in various areas, he examined the procedure / records and sought their views. He also, know the reactions of the people in the respective areas. In particular, he met the Special Police Force at Charminar in the Old City and noticed that the people there were cooperative with the police in successful implementation of the lockdown.
Things noticed in this lockdown:
All businesses, shops, offices, markets, etc. are closed.
Police not allowing anyone, except those with emergency passes.
Police interrogating those who turn up in suspicion, taking action against those who behave contrary to the rules, leaving those who go in an emergency, and so on.
On the other hand, people expressed that the lockdown is for their own good and everybody should stay in their homes and support the lockdown.
After visit, the Chairperson expressed that the lockdown is the most important weapon to conquer the corona epidemic and it is the responsibility of everyone to cooperate with the government and concerned personnel to come out of the pandemic situation. At last, extended his heartfelt thanks to those working in the emergency departments like police, health, sanitation etc.
