Freedom Day has arrived in NSW and Premier Dominic Perrottet has celebrated the easing of COVID restrictions in Greater Sydney and across the state. He encouraged the public to visit barbers and hairdressers, drink beers and eat food at pubs and restaurants and visit arts and cultural centres like museums and galleries. 90% of NSW residents have had their first COVID-19 vaccine and the state is anticipated to reach 80% fully vaccinated next Monday. NSW recorded 496 new local coronavirus cases and 8 deaths today.
