Northern College and Northern Training Division each offer programs and training within the mining industry to prepare graduates for an exciting and prosperous career in mining. Mining is an industry that is rooted in the history of the region and has a deep core in our communities.

College Certificate & Diploma Programs:
Northern College offers a 2-semester Ontario College Certificate in Mineral Exploration Techniques, as well as a 4-semester Ontario College Diploma in Mining Engineering Technician. For more information on these programs email mining@northern.on.ca.

Northern Training Division:
The Diamond Driller Assistant Common Core is a 10-week certificate program which covers knowledge and skills required to work competently as a helper to a Surface and Underground Diamond Drill Operator.
