Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains with V-Bar Links, part number TC2828CAM and that's tire size 25575R17. These Titan Chains are going to give you excellent traction in inclement weather. They feature V-Bar studs that are going to bite down into the snow and ice. They also feature a ladder pattern, so they're going to be very good during accelerating and braking. Most chains require a rubber adjuster and additional part to help keep them tight and snug around the tire. These chains feature integrated cam tensioners which eliminate the need.
They have a maximum speed rating of 30 miles per hour, they're intended for on-road use only, and they come in a quantity of two. Now we'll show you how easy they are to get installed. To start off, we're going to be putting tire chains on the rear tires of our Jeep because it is rear-wheel-drive. inaudible 00:52 our test fit, I've gone ahead and laid the chain out. We want to make sure there's no kinks, twists, or any tangles in it. We'll also want to be sure that our cams are on the outside of our tire and that our hooks, the open side is facing up away from our tire.
Now let's put it in place, so I'm going to lift it up here in the center and drape it over the tire. Now we want to make sure that it's even on both sides. An easy way to check that is to grab the front, feel around to the back, and make sure it's about the same. Then we can finish draping around our tire, and we're going to connect the back side first. So here on the back side what we'll want to do is take our hook here and our links and connect them together. We don't want to connect too many together though because then we won't be able to connect the front side evenly.
We're going to go ahead and connect to that fourth link for this tire size. For the excess, we can either cutoff or use a zip tie and zip tie it to the next link over. Now let's do the front. So here in the front we're going to kind of do the same thing. The only difference is once you've got it connected to our hook, we're going to fold it backward and connect it to the keeper here, and that's going to help us lock it in position. Let's go ahead and try to connect as many links as we can.
So it looks like it's going to be the fourth link. When we put it over the hook, we want to make sure and push it all the way down to the bottom, just like that. Then we're going to fold it over backward and connect it to the keeper here, just like that. Now let's take our included tool and tighten up our cams. The way this works, we'll put it into the cam like this, and then we'll lock it in place. Then we can just work our way around until our chain is nice and snug around our tire. So as you can see they're getting a little bit more difficult, that's what we want. For our last one here, we may or may not be able to get it. It's going to be a lot more difficult than the others. Fold it over until it locks in place, just like that. Now we can go ahead and repeat the same process for the chain on the other side. And that's going to complete our test fit of the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains with V-Bar Links, part number TC2828CAM on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.
