With Eric’s trek just starting, he first hits the chain of 28 interconnected lakes with Jared Adamovich–the local musky hunter and guide. While one water adventure comes to an end, another begins at the cranberry marsh with David Zawitowski where he learns all about Wisconsin’s official fruit–the cranberry, of course!
The cranberry fun doesn’t stop there. At the Vilas County Fairgrounds, Eric meets up with Kim Emerson–the executive director of the Eagle River Area Chamber of Commerce–to experience Cranberry Fest first-hand. It’s no wonder over 40,000 return each year with over 200 arts & crafts vendors, loads of cranberries, and even craisins of 8 different flavors. But cranberry combinations go beyond just craisins. Taste the extravagant cranberry food assortment from brats to beer and wines. Eagle River surely knows how to capture the fall season and take pride in being up North and down to Earth.
As the nation’s longest-running travel & tourism TV series, award-winning Discover Wisconsin highlights destinations, adventures, and local initiatives that bring our communities together across America's Dairyland.
