The Singapore-India Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement does not give Indian nationals automatic access to citizenship, permanent residence or employment in Singapore. The Trade and Industry Ministry has clarified the issue to address Singaporeans' concerns over competition from foreign PMEs.
