Multiple explosions rocked a military base belonging to an Iran-backed militia in Iraq. The blasts happened at a site belonging to the Popular Mobilization Forces. One PMF fighter was killed and six were wounded in the explosions. Israeli and US officials said neither was involved in the blast, which happened a day after a military strike on Iran which has been attributed to Israel. Israel reportedly carried out an attack on Iranian territory days after Iran struck Israel with a barrage of drones and missiles. Tit-for-tat strikes this month have also brought a decades-long shadow war between Israel and Iran out in the open.
