Here's a composer you'll surely want to explore. Leevi Madetoja was Finland's next great symphonist after Sibelius. He wrote three of them. The Second and Third, in particular, are as splendidly crafted, expressive, and enjoyable as any in the repertoire--seriously. Listen and judge for yourself.
