Cleo Estrada, started working in the fields at age 5-6 with her siblings. She describes how hard the work was and also talks about the use of the Spanish language, traditions, and living conditions in the San Luis Valley. She also talks about what motivated her to acquire a college education, becoming a student at CU-Boulder in 1969 through the Migrant Action Program, and her involvement with United Mexican American Students and Chicano activists on campus. Currently, she is a counselor in the multicultural section of Student Services at CU-Boulder.
