Huzurnagar Assembly constituency is a constituency of the Telangana Legislative Assembly, India. It is one of 4 constituencies in the Suryapet district. It is part of Nalgonda Lok Sabha constituency. N.Uttam Kumar Reddy, current President of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee represented the constituency from 2009-2019. Mandals - After the recent delimitation, Huzurnagar Assembly Constituency comprises the following Mandals – Huzurnagar, Neredcherla, Garidepally, Mattampally, Mellacheryu, Chithalapalem, Palakeedu.
Saidireddy Shanampudi is an NRI who joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) recently. K Chandrashekar Rao has a shown a lot of faith in the entrepreneur and believes that he is the party’s best choice to challenge Telangana Congress chief Nalamada Uttam Kumar Reddy.
Reddy used to work in Canada and has expressed hope that KCR’s development initiatives and anti-incumbency factor might help him in dethroning Telangana Congress president from the Huzurnagar constituency.
