In this video I revisit Scotland's iconic Glentress MTB trails one year after their grand opening! In this video, you'll see me ride the Red, Black, and Blue trails, exploring how they've evolved over time, for better or for worse... I'll let you decide!
The Red Route, most apparent on Twister, has been left to the elements and has been affected by the shear amount of people at all skill levels riding the trail, causing huge brake bumps in the berms which were once smooth like butter... not anymore!
Although they have undergone minor repairs by the Forestry Commission, its clear that there is lacking in funding to keep such a great bike trail intact all year round! We rode this at the end of summer, so god knows what the trail will be like after the autumn and winter months!
However the issue with the red route is made up by how good the black taster trail is to session with your mates, hit those big jumps and send it to the moon!! Sadly for me at the start of the video I fell off my bike, permanently scaring my arm in the process!
From flowy descents to challenging technical sections, this full review gives you everything you need to know before your next Glentress adventure.
