In this guide, I will tell you a very simple and easy way to win any war without even fighting a battle. There only mandatory requirement is that you need to unlock the "Abduct" perk from the Intrigue skill tree. Having a ruler with a high Intrigue skill point is not required but very recommended.

While waiting for your abduct scheme to finish, you need to declare war before clicking the finish button on the abduct scheme. Bear in mind that abducting enemy character will disallow you to declare war on them. If you manage to capture the enemy ruler, good job, you have ended the war on day 1!
