In this video, I show how to install a torque converter. If you do not install the torque converter correctly, you will cause the engine to bind up and not turn when you install the bell housing bolts. On top of this, you can also cause damage to the pump assembly inside the transmission. So do it right!

So! How to install a torque converter.
A lot of people, when they put the torque converter in just
slap it on there and just think that it goes in fine.
There is a distinct thing you need to look for when you are putting
a torque converter in.
And that is, there are two distinct thuds.
There are two sets of splines that the torque converter needs to
spline to.
The splines of the input shaft and the splines of the oil pump.
So you have to make sure you have two distinct thuds of the splines
when you put it in.
So
We're gonna, support it, slide it on there.
So there is one thud, now we're going to turn it and push at the
same time... Until.. It goes in...
There! Right there.
You gotta make sure you have two distinct thuds.
