Clicking noise from your Bowflex Max Trainer, and the resistance doesn't work. The nylon gears inside the resistance motor on the Max Trainers with magnetic resistance can strip out. The servo motor will try to retract the magnetic brake, then hit the stripped part of the gears, and click back to where it started...and try again. This video shows you how to replace the servo motor, in this case, it is a Max Trainer M6, but the process is the same for all Max Trainers with magnetic resistance.
