The Cabzeus Mono is a multi-functional device that merges a DI box with a cabinet simulator. 12 Cabinet algorithms offer a wide range of guitar and bass cabs in 10,12 and 15” diameters with sounds from familiar names like Celestion, Jensen, Fane and Eminence. The simple interface tells you which cab you’re on while the upper left knob scrolls through them in both open or closed back configurations. The lower knob lets you fine tune the brightness and response of the cab with virtual mic placement from center to edge. You can also store and recall 2 of your favorite cab presets by pushing the knob down.
There are many ways to utilize the Cabzeus Mono, first is to just insert the cab sim at the end of your pedalboard and practice silently with the headphone out.
To retain all the elements of your rig, the Cabzeus can accept various levels of preamp signal from a standalone device to your amp’s effects loop send. The input pad can attenuate 20 or 30dB which means you can plug your amp’s speaker output right into the Cabzeus Mono and still get your full amplifier running into the virtual cabinets.
The balanced XLR output then sends a low noise signal straight to your DAW or PA while a Thru output lets you treat the Cabzeus Mono like any DI, sending one direct signal with to FOH while the other flows to your actual cabinet.
