Our visit to London, England kicked off our tour of the UK and Europe. There is never a dull moment in this city, and we had a great time exploring some areas that we hadn't been to before. We loved walking through Portobello Market in Notting Hill, and strolling the South Bank, along with the must-sees, Covent Garden, Piccidilly Circus, and Big Ben.

London is full of culture and art, and has amazing pubs and restaurants. The city is very LGBT friendly, and we always felt comfortable being ourselves. Early autumn is a great time of year to visit, because the weather is still warm enough to explore the city comfortably, and it's much less crowded than the spring and summer. We recommend heading out to Notting Hill to explore Portobello Market on weekends. The market has great clothing, music, and food vendors, and draws a good crowd. Since we're avid theatre-goers, we love seeing West End productions in London. You can often catch original shows before they get to Broadway in NYC!
