This Sunday, Alvaro Ibañez and his wife Denise DeVries invite the public to their first 2024
open house and reception at Surreal Arizona Gallery and A-Ibañez Museum. The event will take
place from 2 to 4 p.m. at 199 Whittaker Lane, Kilmarnock.
“This event begins our 4 th year of author events at the gallery,” said DeVries. “Some of our
family members will be visiting from South America, so come out and practice your Spanish.”
At 3 p.m., featured author Mary Ann Olsen will present her latest novel, “Beach Escape.” She
will also talk about and sign her first book about her time as Secretary and later Executive
Director of the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival. Mrs. Olson also wrote, produced and
directed 6 outdoor pageants in poetry. She is currently working on a poetry book called
“Walking Through Life in Poetry and Special Thoughts.”
Gallery tours start at 2. After the author presentation at 3, light refreshments will be served. The
free, family friendly event is open to all.
