Srinagar (J&K), Aug 27 (ANI): Indian Army on August 26 celebrated Women’s Equality Day in Srinagar. Women from different walks of life took part in the event. During the event, a song named "Beti" was also released to honour women. General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Srinagar-based Chinar Corps (15 Corps), Lt General DP Pandey said, “I sincerely hope and pray that the youth of Kashmir – boys and girls, grow in an environment of happiness, peace and progress. For Kashmir - an environment that respects and nurtures women's equality has been true for centuries. We hope to get back to those roots". (KP)
