This time Dr. Francesco Mangano will talk about custom-made root analogue implants, with a few beautiful cases made by Prof. Michele Figliuzzi, Dr. Bruno Cirotti, and other friends, published with our clinical research group. These post-extractive implants may represent a minimally invasive treatment option, and may play a role in the future again- they actually were the first implants placed in the ancient times! they were made of shells! - thanks to the 3D printing of zirconia. Obviously, dental implantology has evolved and changed, but this old treatment procedure may come back, in another way, thanks to the digital technologies.
