Footage for Ayesama was shot in Ebo Taylor's hometown of Saltpond in Ghana. The song itself is an adaptation of the war song of the Fante Akans, taunting "What's Your Mother's Name?" Appia Kwa Bridge is Ebo Taylor's second album of new material for Strut, following 2010's Love and Death, and a compilation of Taylor's 60's & 70's material, Life Stories.
