The late Terrance Bethel, an avid supporter of the UB Men's Conclave championed that this event should be held on the 19th of November to raise awareness and celebrate International Men's Day. It is our hope that we are able to give this day the same level of recognition and prominence as International Women's Day, as many do not even know that this day exists for men.

The UB Men's Conclave was launched in 2019 and the first Mister UB, Asheene Smith delivered a riveting speech, motivating those in attendance and inspiring young men to embrace their greatest self.

We pay tribute to Mr. Bethel as he posthumously gives an opening word for this year's conclave.
