Farmer unions in the Northern Cape breathed a sigh of relief. This as the national government announced an R300-million fund to fight drought in the province. But they're concerned the money will not be used to relieve the immediate need for fodder.
Drought has wiped out millions of hectares in grazing land - leaving farmers no choice but to either slaughter or sell their herds.
