Lots of people have heard of microdermabrasion but unless you have had a treatment at a salon, it can be a bit mystifying. The PMD allows you to perform microdermabrasion safely at home and without having to pay salon prices. The device removes dead skin cells from the top layer of skin, called the stratum corneum. An aluminium oxide disk moves across the skin and any dead skin cells are sucked away by a vacumn. The result is reduced appearance of fine lines, a smoother skin surface and reduction in appearance of scars.
