At the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, Citroën is world revealing Rider The Citroënist by Martone, a limited-edition bicycle blending functionality and comfort and featuring the expertise of a partner specialising in stylish mobility, Martone Cycling.
Rider The Citroënist by Martone was designed as a comfortable and elegant sustainable mobility object boasting the same colours as SpaceTourer The Citroënist Concept, an original concept camping car making its debut on the Brand’s stand at the Geneva Motor Show: white (for the frame, saddle and handlebars) and black (tyres), combined with a red chain, the hallmark of Martone Cycling.
SpaceTourer The Citroënist Concept is faithful to the 100-year history of a popular Brand that has unfailingly worked to make mobility and adventure broadly accessible. Designed on the base of SpaceTourer, the original concept camping car has a special cabin layout developed by Pössl (which markets the Campster). Offering two berths, storage for bikes, and a built-in connected office, the concept symbolises Citroën’s strong momentum in the camping-car segment.
Stylish and practical like Citroën SpaceTourer, Rider The Citroënist by Martone is the perfect addition for motorists seeking à la carte mobility and on-road pleasure. To transport the two bicycles presented at the Geneva Motor Show with the concept, SpaceTourer The Citroënist Concept is equipped inside with a double storage rail on the floor located between the multimedia unit and the rear seats.
The all-white frame of Rider The Citroënist by Martone is made of a steel and aluminium alloy and weighs in at just 12 kilograms. The black wheels measure 700 mm x 32 mm and are equipped with stainless steel hubs and puncture-resistant black tyres for trouble-free adventures in the city. With the high-quality manual three-speed gear system manufactured by Sturmey-Archer, cyclists can shift up and down with seamless and stylish ease. The Citroënist logo adorns the saddle and the cross bar (with the Martone Cycling logo), while the Citroën Origins logo, created for Citroën’s 100th birthday, is centred on the handle bars.
Available in two sizes (52 cm and 56 cm), Rider The Citroënist by Martone is designed both for everyday rides and leisure activities. The bicycle is much more than a simple concept. The public will be able to order the model, synonymous with mobility, from the opening of the Geneva Motor Show, either directly on the stand or via the online boutique lifestyle.citroen.com/ for €950 or CHF 1,000 (VAT included, delivery not included).
