Day 5, and the competitors were in for the longest ride of the Int. GS Trophy 2024. Starting at sea level with the cool coastal air at just 10°C, they would ride through the desert and into the mountains, where the temperature was expected to soar to 30°C. The day would stretch to 430 kilometers, mostly off-road, with two more special stages still to come before they returned to base camp in Midgard. With the finish line still far off, they knew that pushing through the exhaustion was the only way to make it to the end.
