Police in North Carolina have release video footage of lieutenant Corey Brooks rescuing a non-responsive driver from a burning truck. Brooks was responding to a separate incident shortly before 9 PM when he observed a truck hit the retaining wall on Interstate 85 and catch fire. ‘Without hesitation’, Brooks ran to the truck's cab, where he found the driver unconscious. Brooks pulled the driver out of the driver seat to free him from the burning truck. An unidentified female driver assisted Brooks in pulling the driver to safety. As fire and emergency services arrived on the scene, the driver started to gain consciousness. He was able to walk to the ambulance and was ¬¬transported to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. The video was posted on 8 August.
