The verb [놓다] means to put or to place something somewhere.
When [놓다] follows an action verb, it adds the meaning to the verb that the result of the action is maintained and preserved after the action is completed.
The action verb should conjugate with [아/어/해] depending on the verb’s last syllable vowel, and then [놓다] follows.
