Since my injury prevented me from tricking, I still needed to move! Luckily my shoulder didn't hurt while skating (it hurts when I would engage my right arm for twisting/flipping). I've always been intrigued with skating, but too scared to get hurt. It was a lot of fun breaking tons of mental barriers I had with skateboarding. So expect more!
Although its a bit too hot to skate where I live...for the first 2 weeks I would start skating at 7 or 8am, or skate at noon outside of the gym (could come back in to cool off). For the remainder, I would start at 6am because it is already 85-90 degrees; by noon it would be between 110-120. Anyways once Fall comes around i'll get back to skating more frequently. I just want a kick flip!!
