(4 Dec 2018) The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge held a Christmas party at their Kensington Palace home on Tuesday (4 DEC 2018) for families of Royal Air Force (RAF) personnel separated from their loved ones over the festive season.
William and Kate joined children of RAF personnel to make crackers, sweets and decorated stockings.
The Duchess of Cambridge told those present: "Not only are we grateful for you coming here to join our party, but also for the sacrifices you make on a daily basis on behalf of the nation.
"As someone whose husband has served, I know how hard it feels when a loved one leaves home to do the job they've trained for."
The royal couple are set to travel to RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus on Wednesday where they will meet with some of those estranged from their families and pass on some early Christmas presents.
