This SERDP and ESTCP webinar focused on DoD-funded research efforts to develop PFAS-free firefighting foams. Specifically, investigators discussed research into surfactant transport and its applicability to both firefighting foams and bilgewater emissions, and the development of fluorine-free siloxane containing and alkypolyglycoside surfactants to develop an optimized firefighting mixture.
