Police have decided to seek the charging of 1,000 people who were arrested at the Extinction Rebellion protests, that crippled sections of London for up to two weeks at Easter (2019), to deter any other protest group from employing the same tactics in future.
Extinction Rebellion at this time would ignore this issue, as one of their aims, is to get as many people arrested as possible. If this changes in future, we shall have to see.
