Income Tax officials raided various properties related to Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar on October 7.
Premises of business groups including DB Realty, Shivalik, Jarandeshwar SSK, businesses linked to Pawar's sisters also under scanner.
Pawar said, “Not sure if raids were conducted for political purposes or for getting more information.
Being Finance Minster myself, I know how to impose financial discipline. We’ve been paying all taxes promptly.”
Pawar expressed pain after IT department ‘targeted’ his sisters by raiding their premises.
He said, “My sisters’ properties have been raided. One sister stays in Kolhapur and two in Pune.”
“If my sisters are targeted for being related to me, then people must consider the levels, to which the central agencies are being misused to target us.”
