ABOUT THE WATERFALL
One of Auckland's best-kept secrets, Oakley Creek Waterfall is a 6.5 meter high natural waterfall tucked in Central Auckland, the highest urban waterfall in New Zealand and the only waterfall in central Auckland.
It is such a treat to have this very accessible natural spot amidst the city and the residential area. However, the water coming from an urban stream, it might look clean but it is far from pristine, with all the potential health hazards. Having said that, swimming in the creek as well as under the falls is not recommended.
ABOUT THE PATH
The creek path is a combination of bridges, stairs, concrete path and bush walks with diverse flora and fauna.
