Originally broadcast in two parts over Christmas back in 2002, I don't think this adaptation of one of E. Nesbit's lesser-known fantasies for children has ever been repeated. I kept the cassette recording of this for over twenty years and only just converted it to digital. The play ends a little abruptly - this is because the original recording ended a minute or two early. However, you should find that the story still reaches a satisfactory conclusion and all you're really missing is the end credits...
