The less famous Polkujka Gorge does not fall behind its famous sister gorge. It is settled in a rather unique fern forest and taken together, the walk, the forest, surrounding nature, and the short but spectecular board walk through the gorge itself, it is a very pristine experience.
The little waterfall Izvir Bohinjske has to offer is another hidden gem in Triglav NP. A seamless trail leads to its foot and suddently you are rewarded with the one of the most cristal clear sky blue waters in the entire national park. If it wasn't so ice cold, the remote location would definitely invite for a swim.
Much in contrast, lake Bohinj truly is a popular beauty in the very heart of the national park. Unfortunately, its popularity truly does not go unnoticed. It is less frequented than lake bled, but enjoying a private swim is something you should not seek here.
