Didn't have time to do a normal vlog today because my parents were here, so I shot this instead.
Basically, the quality of your life is made up of the amount of positive experiences that you have on a daily basis vs the negative ones.
Positive ones and negative experiences are not weighted equally. You can have a great day but if one shitty thing happens, then the whole day can be ruined.
On the other hand, if you have a lot of terrible things happen to you and only one good thing happens, it doesn't quite have the same effect. It just doesn't make as much of a dent.
Bad things hurt us more than good things help us.
What does this have to do with working full time?
Well, I don't know about you, but pretty much every time I've worked full time it's been at a shitty job that I hated. The exception to this rule would be selling hair straighteners, but I don't particularly feel like leaving the state/country to go do that right now, so that's out.
Anyway, if working full time creates too many instances of bad feelings, then what's the point?
We just trade our time for money, and we trade our money to buy things that make up for the fact that we hate our lives because we spent all our time working jobs we hate. Anyone see the irony there?
So I say we just cut out the middleman and do the things we enjoy so we are happy in life and "work" as little as possible at jobs that destroy our souls.
Peace out.
