Prof Pier Carolo Padoan shares his views and insights on the governance and economic outlook of the monetory union in the Eurozone. He feels that macroeconomic policy needs to be tackled, not just as a matter of national economy adjusting, but also a matter of system and structure adjustment. He also shares that a single market, though may sound old-fashioned and is far from completed, is still one of the most powerful method that European can count on.

Prof Padoan also feels that there should be more flexibility in the labour market, and fiscal mutualizaton is the ultimate step towards union for many different reasons for sustainability of the monetary union in the long term.
