Can You Tell What This Is? Turbo, VTEC or VVTi?
The fifth-gen car is a real classic, and it's not just because of its influence on the American import scene. It all started back in 1991 when it was released in Japan as a replacement for the beloved EF model. A few months later, it made its way to the rest of the world and the US. The manufacturer took everything that made the EF great and made it even better. The suspension was improved, the engines got a boost, and designer Kohichi Hirata smoothed out the body lines to create a true 90s icon. It came in three styles: the sedan, the standard hatchback, and a two-door coupe, which was a first for the car.
This particular car has gone a little, how would you say - bat-sh$t crazy? It features a 2.4 engine from it's bigger brother along with a healthy shot of nitrous oxide into the bargain. Ping!
