The Significance Of Kalabhairava – The Most Fearsome Form Of Shiva

Kalabhairava Shanti
This ritual can be performed any time after death, especially when the deadlines applicable for Kalabhairava Karma have passed. The ritual is conducted on Amavasya (new moon). It can be repeated every month or every year. (See the Isha Lunar Calendar for dates.)
Requirements:
A photograph of the deceased is required, along with name, date of birth or exact year of birth; date of death or exact year of death (OR) names of both mother and father of the deceased.
Please upload individual photo of the deceased (Group photo cannot be used for process). The photo should have been taken when the person was alive.
In case of abortion after 48 days or a stillborn infant, a photo of the mother (preferably taken during pregnancy) should be uploaded instead.
Below, Sadhguru explains the science behind these processes.
Sadhguru: This has been very much a part of yogic culture – that if somebody dies and does not have the awareness to conduct his death properly, someone else does it for him. When somebody dies, as far as the person is concerned, he has just lost his body and everything he has known as life. He has also lost his discretionary mind. Because of this, he can only function by tendencies. Discretion means there is a choice. For instance, if somebody dies, people may become sad and miserable, but after a certain passage of time, they will employ their discretion: “There is no point just going on like this, let me get back to whatever I need to do.”
But somebody who is unable to employ his discretion will stay in that state for a long time, and his tendencies will multiply. If he had pleasant tendencies, they will snowball; if he had unpleasant tendencies, they will avalanche into something unpleasant.
So, at either that last moment or just after, a life can be touched in such a way that pleasantness will seep into it. Once even a drop of pleasantness is put in, this will become an ocean of pleasantness after some time because he has no discretion, he cannot stop it.
Mahalaya Amavasya:
An yearly Kalabhairava Shanti process is also conducted on Mahalaya Amavasya. Mahalaya Amavasya marks the beginning of Devi Pada (a phase of the year considered favorable to access Devi, since the feminine aspects of the planet are more pronounced). A unique Agni Arpana (offering of fire) is done from evening to night, followed by the Shanti process during the midnight Sandhya. Mahalaya Amavasya will be celebrated on 28th Sep 2019, Saturday.

Kaal Bhairav Mantra -
Kaal Bhairav is one of the most ferocious manifestations of Lord Shiva. Once Lord Brahma grew arrogant and egoistic. During those times he had five heads one on top of the four heads. Lord Shiva wanted to teach him a lesson and make him more committed and responsible to his task. Therefore he created Kaal Bhairav from his nail and thus Kaal Bhairav manifested as an incarnation of Lord Shiva.
