Today, we will talk about 3 tourist spots with free entry, located on Paulista Avenue that are worth visiting.
However, these tourist spots will be posted in 3 videos.
In this first one, you will get to know the JAPAN HOUSE.
The Japan House São Paulo is an initiative with the purpose of disseminating the various attractions, activities and government measures of Japan, increasing the knowledge of the entire international community regarding Japanese culture. Inaugurated on April 30, 2017, the Japan House São Paulo was the first to open its doors, followed by London (England) and Los Angeles (USA).
It acts as a public platform in generating opportunities for cooperation and exchange between Japan and Brazil, in the most diverse areas such as arts, business, sports, design, fashion, gastronomy, education, tourism, science and technology. Presenting Japan, it promotes exhibitions, seminars, workshops and countless other activities in its headquarters, in other spaces and digitally.
In February 2020, the Japan House São Paulo reached the mark of 2 million visitors, being considered one of the main cultural institutions of Paulista Avenue. Since April 2020, the institution has the LEED Certification in the Platinum category - the highest level of recognition of the program - granted to sustainable buildings.
The building was designed by architect Kengo Kuma, with a façade made of Japanese cedar over 70 years old and mesh panels covered with handmade Japanese paper - and it is an attraction in itself.
Inside there are two Japanese goods shops, a restaurant, a café and two spaces for temporary exhibitions, in addition to an intense cultural program: workshops, reading clubs, musical performances... on the website it is possible to consult the complete and updated program.
In the next video, we will talk about another tourist spot called the Brazilian Korean Cultural Center.
