When it comes to bustling areas in Osaka, we think of "Kita" around Umeda, "Minami" around Dotonbori and Namba, and following these is the "Tennoji/Abeno" area. The "Abeno Harukas," opened in 2014, became famous for its 300-meter-high skyscraper. The area around the station is filled with commercial buildings, and while a new townscape is expanding, walking along the backstreets reveals an old-town atmosphere that is somehow nostalgic. This contrast between the new and old is what makes the Tennoji/Abeno area charming.
