In the late 1930s a new sport appeared at Harvard. One man swallowed a live goldfish. Soon there would be tournaments to see who could swallow the most. The final champion was crowned in April 1942 when he consumed 85 of them. People have swallowed goldfish more recently as well, but it usually ends with animal cruelty charges.
