As i continue travelling around Pakistan, i was invited to join the band of Qawwali Singer Kalay Khan Bhag (nephew of Nusrat Fateh
Ali Khan) as they travelled and performed at a Sufi Festival in the village of Fattiana.
I was without a doubt the only foreigner there that night and had an amazing time!
I got to try out a lot of different foods for the first time (Jelabi is my all time favourite) and experience music being performed at Fattiana Darbar with the mosque still illuminated from Eid Milad Un Nabi.
In this video i am only showing you one song, with people dancing, throwing money to the band as is the custom here, but i will have another video in the future with a lot more about the music in Pakistan.
As usual, i am very grateful for the kindness of everybody there that night it was great talking with people while i waited for the band to pack up after their performance. Their happiness and pride in having a foreigner come to their town really is what Pakistan is all about, regular people that do not have much have one thing : a huge heart.
Also a big thank you to Imran from [ Ссылка ] who introduced me to the band and organised this. I would highly recommend you contact him if you are planning to visit Pakistan as he can take you to the tourist sites of course but also to off the beaten path places aswell if that is what you are looking for.
