This 1985 Championship match played in MCG between the two was beautiful match which India own victory. Pakistan scored 176 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs. In the return the Indian side took full control of the match and scored a stunning opening partnership. India won the match in 47th over. Ravi Shastri was named the player of the match.
