This is a very odd piece of Cherry that has a strange growth on it.
This was sent to me by viewer Buddy and he referred to it as The Alien.
I waited awhile before turning it thinking on a way to keep the look of the Alien in the piece.
I think it worked out great.
Finish used: Zinsser Seal Coat Zinsser Shellac
Tools used: Bowl gouges , carbide hollower, diamond point tool, skew,
negative rake scraper.
