Who does a better job of emulating the UA 1176 compressor: Waves or UAD? Today we are going figure this out by comparing all 6 versions of the plugin offered by these two companies.

We'll keep the focus here on the kick drums. Our sound source will be a DW Collector's PurplceCore Maple 18x22". We'll have one mic outside of an un-ported head as our "primary" sound source. This mic will run through an API preamp. The full mic will also have a "Moon Mic" added.
