In this video I explain to the novice how to use insert jacks on the Warm Audio WA73-EQ preamp. This feature is of most value to me because it allows the user to take advantage of patching in their favorite compressor via a patchbay or permanently connecting a compressor with balanced cables in the rear. Flexibility is of utmost importance when purchasing gear and the WA73-EQ provides it with features like a microphone and direct input on the front panel, insert button and a 3 band equalizer to sculpt the sound however you want. For the example I am using a USA made Classic Vintage DBX 166 made in 1978. Like I mention in the video I am impartial to DBX compression technology because it seems to work on every source I use it on, and it works well. The great thing is that these are available on Ebay for next to nothing. So before you run out to spend mega bucks for your next compressor consider this unit.
