The Los Angeles County Rent Relief Program will reopen for a second round of applications at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2024. This initiative aims to provide crucial support for landlords who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the program’s successful initial launch, this round offers landlords up to $30,000 per rental unit to cover past-due rent and other eligible expenses incurred since April 1, 2022.

Landlords interested in applying have until 4:59 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, to submit their applications. To apply, verify eligibility criteria, or receive a direct link to the application when it goes live, landlords should visit the LA County Rent Relief Program website.

To assist with the application process, community partners will offer free webinars and technical assistance in multiple languages. These services will be available daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., starting from the first day applications are accepted.

It is important for previous applicants to ensure all pending tasks are completed before submitting a new application. This ensures that their application is fully considered in the current round of funding.

For additional support, landlords can contact the Rent Relief Customer Call Center at (877) 849-0770. The call center can provide guidance and answer any questions related to the application process.

Landlords are strongly encouraged to apply as early as possible. Despite this encouragement, it’s important to note that submitting a completed application does not guarantee funding.
