(19 Nov 2018) Serbia's Prime Minister vowed to increase regional cooperation with neighbouring Western Balkan states within a European Union accession framework, but warned some in the region were intent on hindering progress.
Speaking at a meeting in Vienna chaired by Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, Ana Brnabic said "sometimes instead of going forward and focusing on the future and what we can achieve together we're going backwards," accusing Kosovo of breeching the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) for imposing 10 percent tariffs on Serbian goods and services.
Meanwhile, Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj argued that his country hasn't been treated fairly by its neighbours.
"No trucks or no company or no good, no product from Kosovo can travel through Serbia to any economy because of non-tariff barriers," Haradinaj said at a joint news conference at the Austrian chancellery.
Serbia does not acknowledge Kosovo as an independent state.
